WORK.
I’m Kay
I work in cinematic photography, music video creation, and visual storytelling, scriptwriting, building work that blends emotions, atmosphere, and so much more. It took me awhile to figure out what I genuinely wanted to do in this lifetime, and I happened to stumble upon this amazing field. So amazing, I’d do my services for free!!
I focus on creating imagery and motion that FEELS lived-in, expressive, and intentional rather than it being staged or artificial (I hate Tubi vibes).
As you can see from up, up above, most of my work draws from street photography, fashion editorials, film grain textures, and dramatic lighting. It doesn’t matter if I am shooting portraits or directing a music video, I approach every project with an emphasis on mood, movement, and composition that feels like it belongs to a larger story.
As a Black creative, my perspective naturally shapes how I see people, light, presence, and emotion. I am so invested in expanding the kinds of stories and visuals that get centered in film and media, especially in space where those perspectives have historically been underrepresented.
Photography and filmmaking for me started out as just some silly hobby, but it became a way of translating thought, emotion, and narrative very quickly as I continued my journey.
Alongside visual work, I also develop scripts and creative concepts. I am currently writing a script as of now called, “Self”. I plan to take this very far. < It resembles the movie Moonlight :) >.
